ALTERNATIVE THERAPY

                          The treatments that we offer to those who are affected by any anxiety or depressive disorder that has a disabling effect on one's life can be described as Non-Pharmalogical or Non-Conventional Treatments. These are the terms you will hear your doctor refer to them as being. These treatments that we teach to enable those affected by depression, anxiety, mood disorders etc are treatments which involve the client using their mind to heal their mind. We teach our clients to use their concentration, imagination, memory, attitude, thoughts and mind's susceptibility to habitual thinking to conquer their mental health problems using techniques such as Positive Thinking, Visualisation, Meditation, Distraction and other, to conquer their depressive/anxiety symptoms and other conditions of mind such as persistent anger and rage.

These techniques belong to a family of techniques called COGNITIVE TECHNIQUES which have proven to be either as or more effective than anti-depressant or tranquiliser medication. Below are links that evidence these claims and support the notion that the non-conventional therapies should be tried before the pharmacological therapies are tried.
